On Thursday night Pete Robins made the second ascent of The Crest sds V12/8A+ on The Wave in Bethesda. He had tried it on a few previous sessions, even slipping off the final move on one day.

Pete confirmed the overall grade, saying that it was “Defo 8A+” and that despite its reputation for having a particularly heinous crux, he found it to be susrprisingly sustained.

The full sit down version of the line was first done by Dave Noden in February last year, although Adam Hocking had climbed it from a crouching start at V9/7C in 2008.
