Screengrabs of Caff on Harddwch a'r Bwystfil (7C)

.

.

James McHaffie has climbed another outrageous new line in Cymffynnon. Harddwch a'r Bwystfil (7C) is the massive prow situated up at the back left (west) side of the cwm. It was first toyed with by Mark Dicken, who had a look on a rope, but has laid untouched for a while.

Caff first climbed Y Bwystfil, the obvious direct standing start version – this is pretty wild but went at a surprisingly reasonable grade of 7A. He worked out the moves on the obvious ramp start coming in from the left side, and then returned to make the big link.

”The 7A is stunning, but the 7C is out of this world!” enthused Caff.
