It seems that the original ‘cave of justice’ is no more. Gav Foster and Chris Davies paid a visit tonight, and despite initial positive impressions – the floor level was okay, access was actually easier than before – the crag itself is trashed. Towards the end of the recent building work a fire occurred at the base of the cave, and this spread up over the whole hillside above the tunnels.

The intense heat has rendered the crag completely shattered and loose; holds disintegrating almost upon touch. “You could just pick a hold and pull it off, then pull what lies underneath off as well – it’s totally fucked.” Commented, Gav Foster.

“It’s a real shame; the end of an era. This crag will be sorely missed by the North Wales hardcore.” Added Chris Davies.
