Si Panton returned to the Mur Pen Clegir area last night and climbed the obvious rising traverse line running from a sitting start on the right side of the aręte of Pig in a Poke.

An awkward set up on the diagonal finger rail precedes a series of snatchy manoeuvres and a final heart-in-mouth slap for a good ledge system up on the right. The top out is thankfully more straightforward.

“This is a really intense problem and, as is typical of the crag, the climbing is much harder than it looks. My sequence, which took some working out, was quite reachy, but I think shorter folk will be able to sort out an alternative.”

Said Si.

The Snorter rates around V6/7Aish.
