Strong youth Ed Hamer has blasted his way through a series of impressive repeats on Pill Box Wall and in Parisella’s Cave on the Marine Drive over the last week.

First off he made the third ascent of Last Malteser V11/8A and Drink Driving V12/8A+ on Pill Box Wall. He then grabbed the third ascent of The Wire V12/8A+ in the Cave.

Ed then topped it all by repeating the epic Jack the Drunk V12/8A+ on Pill Box Wall, and on his last day, making an ascent of In Hell V12/8A+ in the Cave.

That’s one V11/8A and four V12/8A+s in five days!

Down at Angel Bay Adam Lincoln re-ascended Manchester Dogs – it had remained unclimbed since a jug at the start had broken off. There was no reported change in the grade (V11/8A), but it is a little bit harder.

And lastly on the repeat front, Dave Noden did Paul Higginson’s micro problem, Lo Lo at Porth Ysgo. Dave pulled on with one hand on the low under cut, and reckoned it was worth V10/7C+ from this position. The original matched-start on the undercut is not possible at the moment – would be suitors should pack a crow bar to move the wedged blocks!
