Dave Noden and Si Panton returned to the Boss Cuvier block in Beddgelert Forest last night and cleaned up 4 new lines, all of which maintained the high quality standard of this remarkable boulder.

First up Dave worked out and linked together the long and complicated lip traverse from the Boss Cuvier sitting start into Vision. Boss Vision rates a soft V9/7C and it gave Dave a few anxious moments on the very final moves when he missed the proper hold and had to drag a poor mono and improvise up to better holds.

Si then stepped in and completed the leftwards lip traverse from the Central Hog start. Central Cuvier V7/7A+ is another complicated and sustained sloperfest finishing up the brilliant Boss Cuvier groove.

Dave then whizzed up the classic connection of the right hand sitting start (Black Spot) into the Vision arête. Black Vision rates V8/7B and is arguably, because of the way your hands fall onto the slopey ramp, a more natural line than Black Spot.

Lastly as darkness descended Dave got stuck into the remaining significant stand up line; namely the hanging shield left of the Vision arête. A hard and possibly morpho step on leads into some very tenuous and balancey manoeuvres. On his last possible attempt, Dave held his balance and got the top. Water rates V8/7B+.
