This afternoon Mina Leslie-Wujastyk topped a run of excellent form with the first female ascent of Llanberis Pass classic, Jerry’s Roof V9/7C. Although for most taller climbers it is considered a relative soft touch for the grade, the reverse is true for those lacking the necessary reach on the crux pull to the pocket.

Mina had also recently climbed both the adjacent Bus Stop V9/7C and Rock Atrocity in Parisella’s Cave, which some climbers rate as being V10/7C+. Interestingly Mina commented that for her Jerry’s Roof was harder to complete than Rock Atrocity.

Over the winter season Mina racked up various impressive ascents, including her first V11/8A, Teamwork in Chironico, Les Doigts Verts V10/7C+, also in Chironico and Brad Pit V10/7C+ at Stanage.

Ray Wood witnessed the ascent; see his report and pictures at dmmclimbing.com

Mina's ascent of Rock Atrocity was covered on UKClimbing.com - go here to read the accompanying interview.
