Pete Robins, Cave devotee. photo: Si Panton

Pete Robins has climbed a new super problem in Parisella’s Cave. The Wire V12/8A+ gives Gaz Parry’s Broken Heart a proper start, namely the logical connection from the sitting start of Lou Ferrino.

Initially Pete thought the line might be V11/8A, but after several sessions spent falling off the last hard move he came to the conclusion that it was probably as hard as the other standard V12/8A+s in the Cave. On Sunday afternoon Pete made it through the hard section to the juggy rail at the start of Right Wall Traverse. Feeling more than a little boxed at this point he decided to finish up the slightly less droppable Bust Lip instead of the standard Beaver Cleaver exit.
