With all the bad weather not much has been happening on the first ascent front, but there have been some significant repeats.

Firstly, Geordie star, Micky Page made an impressive repeat (the 3rd ascent after Tyler Landman) of Danny Cattell’s recent Parisella’s Cave test piece, Louis Armstrong (probable V13/8b). Micky crushed the line on his second session!

Dave Noden then made a brief foray outside from the cosy confines of The Mill (North Wales’ premier training venue) to test if all the hard work might make any difference on real rock. Turns out it did: he made a decisive third ascent (after John Gaskins) of Chris Davies’ Downset sds V12/8a+ down on the Elephantitus buttress in Nant Gwynant.
