Jamie King has climbed a tricky slab problem on the clean boulders at the top of the village of Rhiwlas. Jamie lived in Rhiwlas when he was a lad and recalls that a number of easier lines were climbed at the time.

Violent Snatch V6/7/7a/+ takes the clean slab left of a crack on the largest boulder. The crack is out of bounds, but Jamie reckons it feels quite natural staying away from it. He did try the line last year, but could only just get off the ground. This year it felt different and after about ten attempts Jamie topped out.

To reach it, follow a footpath up to the boulders from opposite a closed down shop. Head up the footpath as it winds through the boulders. The problem is on the biggest one; climb this and drop down to its left hand side to reach the base of the slab.
