Adam Hocking thinking about life in the desert, photo: Si Panton

Adam Hocking and Dave Noden climbed a pair of cracking new problems up at the Sheep Pen Boulders in the Ogwen Valley. Both lines can be found on a block situated further along the plateau from the Pinch Block. On the nearside there is a small sheep pen; the action lies on t’other side.

Firstly, Nodder climbed the obvious prow from a sitting start to give The Terrapin V8+/7b+.

Hock then pieced together a right-to-left traverse: Rumplestiltskin V9/Font 7c starts sitting at the obvious position on the right and then traces a line of small slopey dishes leftwards to reach better crimps and a finish up right of the prow.

(NB. Hock is heading out to some far flung desert region for 6 weeks, so expect the news to quieten down a bit whilst he's away.)
