A couple of interesting additions were completed on the Ormes this week.

In Parisella’s Cave, Tommy Chamings produced Lip Service V7/Font 7a+. This starts as for Parisella’s Original/Bust Lip, but instead of crossing over from the 2nd jug to the small crimp, you move straight up from the 2nd jug with your left hand to a small scoop (crimp), then make a really big right hand move to the finger jug rail on Beaver Cleaver and finish up this to the high jugs.

Next door in Split Infinity, Chris Pollard climbed the obvious right-to-left traverse line (Split Traverse High) along the ramp system at 2.5m height via a series of slopers and crimps, and continuing left across the break at the top of Slim to finish on the pillar.

“Although it may look a bit eliminate it actually climbs quite independently with a nice sequence of technical moves and is probably worth about V7/Font 7a+.” Commented Chris.

Ian Whyatt moved in for a swift repeat, confirming the grade.
