Chris Doyle showing his sequence on We’ve a Beaver V9/7c photos: Si Panton

Chris Doyle has climbed the superb right-to-left line leading into Clever Cleaver standing start. We’ve a Beaver V9/7c starts as for Lipstick, but stays on the lower line leading across leftwards into the sloping holds on Clever Beaver. A series of very intense moves bar access to the Clever Cleaver finish, which by now will feel like the living end!

Chris took 3 sessions to crack the problem; he kept making it through the evil slopers, only to fade on the Clever Cleaver crux which follows immediately after. There are a number of optional sequences on the crux section, all of which have their pros and cons. Take your pick, but Chris chose to match on the lower Clever Beaver sloper.

Statisticians will be pleased note that this problem is 16 moves long.
