Paul Barker on Neural Tension Rehab V7/7a+ photo: Mat Perrier

Paul Barker on Rehab’s for Quitters V5/6c photo: Mat Perrier

Here’s a few problems from last year, and the year before, that slipped through the net.

Most accessible is Neural Tension Rehab V7/7a+ which traverses the lip of the undercut boulder just by the bridge (over Afon Nant Peris) that leads into the Blaen y Nant campsite. The first ascent came from Paul Barker.

Paul also added Rehab’s for Quitters V5/6c, which can be found approximately 50m right of the Disobedience block. Paul climbed the indirect finish, swerving right after gaining the high hold seen in the picture, whilst Mat Perrier added a slightly harder and bolder direct finish.

Perhaps Paul’s best unreported line is When I was on Horseback V5/6/6c+/7a. This is a sitting start arete, with a wall that slopes right from the apex to the deck. It is situated up and left of Dinas Mot, high up behind Craig y Llwyfan (home of Envy etc).
