Sam Cattell has topped developments at a secret limestone cave (called: The Gop) near Prestatyn with a impressive ascent of an un-named V11.

Chris Doyle reports: "Sam first tried the problem a few years ago, just before he injured his fingers. Yesterday was the first time he'd been on it since then and he surprised himself, and us, by dispatching it."

Thus far the crag has eight completed lines, mainly in the V7-V11 range. Typically the problems are 1-3 moves long and brutally powerful - perhaps a little hardcore for most people's tastes, but nonetheless an interesting attraction for the bumpy boys (and girls).

More details to follow (when they've cleaned up the other projects).
