Pete Robins attempting In Your Honour sds V10/7c+, photos: Si Panton

.

Adam Hocking cleaned up two hard first ascents in the Ogwen Valley on Saturday. In Your Honour is a stunning line first climbed as a stand up problem by Nige Callender back in December 2005. Adam’s sitting start adds more technical and thin moves, bumping the grade to V10/7c+.

In the same day Adam went on to climb the proper sitting start to his own problem The Prow in the Milestone Buttress Boulders. This also rates V10/7c+. Chris Davies repeated the original crouching start at V9/7c.

Adam also made the second ascent of the nearby Swamp Thing crouching start, a very cruxy (i.e. British 7a) V9/7c.
