Last Sunday Pete Robins cleaned up more stray project lines at Nant y Fedw. Wet holds thwarted an attempt on Obscene Gesture direct but Pete nosed ahead of Caff to nab the obvious up line through the left side of the Just Glue It traverse. A hard rockover off a small stud hold leads to a good flatty. The main difficulties end here but Pete continued boldly up the wall to the top. Pete thought Stud Wall deserved 7A, but Caff, who made a quick repeat, felt 7B was more accurate.

Next up Pete climbed an extremely pumpy traverse link on the Cirque of the Unclingables. Magic Carpet 7B+ starts as per James Dyson Sucks but keeps heading leftwards to link into a finish up Corbyn Youth Surge.

A late in the day visit to the Reality Check wall delivered more quality fas. The left hand crack line had gone into the new NWB guide with a flippant grade assessment of 6A, even though (shock, horror!) the author hadn’t climbed it. Turns out that this line is considerably harder than was initially apparent. Hillseeker 7A starts crouching with the obvious right hand vertical finger slot. Gain the upper crack and make a hard move for the slopey shoulder near the top. Finish with an energetic mantel.

Finally, Pete snatched his way up the obvious line just to the right. Virtual Reality 7B uses the left hand line of holds on Reality Check. It also finishes with an energetic mantel.
