Video still of Chris on Sail the Seven Slopes 7A+

Chris Doyle has climbed a couple of new (or at least previously unclaimed) lines on a great sloper infested dolerite boulder right by the path on the north side of Llyn Crafnant.

The left hand sds line on the boulder goes at 6B+, but the main event is the hanging arête on the right. Sail the Seven Slopes 7A+ is a brilliant, slopey tussle and much more involved than first appearances might suggest.

Start sitting to the right of the arête, hands on the obvious slopers; gain the arête and climb it by swinging round onto its left side, using some useful holds on the face to the left.

Chris has put together a film which also includes some footage of a neat grade 6 wall near the Trefriw Rugby Club which was originally developed by Tony Shelmerdine.
