Ropes of Maui 8B gets a repeat - 10/09/2014

Dom Bridgwood has made the second ascent of Ropes of Maui 8B in the Barrel Cave. This desperate, long problem was first climbed by Pete Robins back in July.

“Took five sessions to nail this one but after failing on the first go today totally pumped on the easy bit, somehow I managed to pull it out of the bag a few goes later. Amazing problem, incredibly psyched!”

Said Dom, before adding:

"It's my first 8B and definitely felt harder than all the 8A+s I have done so I would agree with Pete on the grade."

Craig Davies also repeated Corridors of Power - the current consensus is that it probably is 8A, rather than the 7C+ suggested by 2nd ascentionist, Pete Robins.
