Owen Hayward has climbed another excellent problem on the Hell’s Mouth block at Far Nefoedd.

Mr Crowley 7B starts sitting at the base of the blunt arete of Number of the Beast and uses the good edge on the slab and a crimp on the arete to bang up right to get the good sidepull. Now all you need to do is rock up into a standing position on the slab: desperate! The much easier finish (a 5B in its own right) goes straight up past a positive high sidepull on the slab.

Previously it was assumed that this was strictly a winter only venue, at least for the harder problems, but interestingly Owen reported good evening conditions, and reckoned that as long as there was a good breeze decent friction could be found.
