Last night Adam Hocking re-climbed his own problem Breathe 8A at the Cromlech Boulders. Adam first climbed this semi-eliminate line (holds on the aręte to the right are out of bounds) back in 2007. In 2008 he was trying to link a traverse into it but one of the main holds broke.

Adam was down in Wales doing some filming for a BMC access and conservation piece (Ed’s note: I was roped in, along with Caff and fell runner, Sarah Ridgeway, to saying a few words and doing a bit of bouldering for the camera.). After the filming was over Adam had a quick go on Breathe and surprised himself by doing it very quickly.

"The set up for the crux is harder now and because your right hand is lower the move is harder too."

Explained Adam, before adding:

"I haven’t been doing much bouldering of late so I wasn’t expecting to be able to do it."
