On Sunday Pete Robins made a visit to the Gallt yr Ogof Boulder in the Ogwen Valley and came away with a good variation on the aręte left of Sway On/Diamond Eyes.

Wherever I Lay My Hat 7C does the true sitter to aręte, i.e. sat on the grass by Sway On rather than sat on the boulder. Start with your left hand on the arete and right on a sidepull by the Sway On start holds.

“It climbs totally different to before, mainly on the right wall using sidepulls with your right hand and left hand slapping up the arete. Loads more moves; it’s mega!”

Enthused Pete.
