Shauna Coxsey has repeated Pilgrim V11/12/8A/+ in Parisella’s Cave. This is thought to be the hardest bouldering ascent by a woman on British soil, indeed some believe Pilgrim to be V12/8A+! Shauna’s previous best ascent was V10/7C+.

Pilgrim consists of the first half of Malcom Smith’s epic problem which, as last year’s Ground Up guide states: “forges a line of least resistance (apart from the Beaver Cleaver) section from the back left corner of the cave reach the high ledge on the front right side of the cave.”

Pilgrim starts off with the crux of Left Wall Traverse then makes a powerful traverse rightwards linking into a finish up Rock Atrocity.
