Phil Kelly has loaded the Pete’s Eats new routes book to his increasingly brilliant Rock Archivist website. You’ll need to join to view the pages, but it is easy to do.

Not all of the pages are fully indexed yet, but you can still dip in and take a trip down memory lane. Fascinating stuff!

1996/97 saw an unprecedented boom in bouldering activity in North Wales and it soon spilled over into the pages of the new routes book. The 1997 book in particular makes for interesting reading from a bouldering point of view, with quite a few entertaining entries from Chris Davies and much vitriol from the conservative old guard outraged that anybody dare to suggest that boulder problems should be documented, or were even important.
