The Do It Again block Photo: Ben Farley

Here’s a piece of news that slipped through the net last year.

Ben Farley was wandering round the Decoy Ploy area in the Ogwen Valley when he came across a cool little wall; about 10m west of the Passage of Time block (visible in the back of the adjacent photo).

“It's only tiny and thus not generally my thing but contains a couple of really cool moves on utterly perfect rock. A sit start (perilously close to lying down) with the left heel up allows you to pull onto the slopey shelf. Rock way over the left heel, flick the right hand round and palm down (always the best move). Gain and match the gorgeous edges, then do another nice move to gain the juggy top. A really classy little problem worth seeking out if you have short legs and like mantels. I think it's probably about 7A+ but it could be desperate for the larger person - I can't wait to show it to my tall mates!” Explained Ben.
