Big G blesses the New Year with an intriguing offering nestled path side within the confines of the Snowdon Horsehoe:
Dear NWB.com, I thought I’d drop into 2007 with this fine bluff of dolerite rock. It’s really more of an escarpment I suppose, but anyway, here it is in all its glory. Situated in pleasant lakeside surroundings, this south facing, accessible and amenable facet has not (to my knowledge) been touched by a single 'pad humper'.
Access is by a straightforward hike for 3km along a prominent and rather crowded path; your fellow hikers will probably carry on blindly past this fabulous feature in pursuit of less worthy causes. Grid ref: 625544 (approx)
Love, Big G.
