Neil Dyer swinging out on the arete of Crook Roof Left Hand V8/7b photo: Si Panton

Neil Dyer has climbed a left hand finish to The Crook Roof in the Pass. The as yet unnamed problem, takes the main pebble with the right hand (a bit painful), and breaks out left to gain the left arête of the block via a hard deadpoint. Pinchy moves up the arête then lead to the top. Neil reckoned it was about V8/7bish.

In the same area it is also worth noting a few variations on The Dash. From the same sitting start, but heading up to the wall to the right of the original line rates about V5/6c, and a low level traverse running out to the right arête is around V6/7aish.
