The continuing dry conditions allowed Pete Robins to make the 2nd ascent of Louisville Lip, Dave Noden’s superb looking problem on the Swamp Thing boulder in the Ogwen Valley.
Dave had originally suggested V10/7c+, but Pete found a new sequence, which he reckoned, felt V9/7c for him. Grades aside, Pete was happy to confirm the quality of this excellent lip traverse: “ It’s a great problem, and its got two of the best holds in the whole of the Ogwen Valley!”
Interestingly, the crouching start version of Swamp Thing remains unrepeated - unless you know different!?
