Nothing too startling, but the following are of interest:
Mat Perrier and Patch Hammond repeated Nige Callender’s Pit and the Pendulum in the Milestone Buttress Boulders, confirming the 7b+/V8+ grade. They found a different sequence using undercuts, and crucially, avoiding the painful 2 finger sidepull. They also repeated Huffy’s sitter to Jez’s Aręte, reckoning 7b/V8 was a fair grade.
In the Cave of Justice, Pete Robins took the consolation prize of the 2nd ascent of Upper Cut. Pete had been pipped to the post by Ding Dong Dyer who sneaked in whilst Pete was away on holiday for a few days. As for the grade, Pete suggested: “7b, maybe 7b+.”
