Nige Callender has climbed a super intense V9/7c link on the Northern Soul boulder in the Llanberis Pass. Northern Scum essentially links The Confederate into Northern Soul, traversing right after the third move on The Confederate.

Nige commented:

”It’s got good moves, but the crimping is savage!! Tried it in April but didn't get very far. Did it this morning in a session.”

The obvious project link from the sitting start of Northern Soul into The Confederate or Arse Soul remains for those who have ticked the entire valley (if such a person exists).

(NB. Despite what the guide says, the sitting start to Northern Soul is probably worth V8/7b in new money, especially now that part of the heel/toe hook hold has broken off.)
